OMEGA COMPANY PROFILE
In late 1983, Alan King left Cardinal Production Equipment with the goal of forming a new privately held company. On April 1, 1984, he opened Omega Automation, Inc., providing special production equipment to the automotive, appliance, electronic and commercial industries.
In January 1989, Omega Tool & Die was established as a separate entity, located in facilities near Automation’s Needmore Road plant in Dayton, Ohio. Omega Tool houses all of Omega’s machining and fabrication capability. In addition to Omega Automation, Omega Tool's machined component customers include automotive, composite can and paper handling manufacturers.
Much of Omega’s growth has come from our niche in the safety restraint market... as one of only three companies world-wide that supply automated air bag folding machines. In March 1996 this growth resulted in part ownership of HB Omega Europa, a sister company in Osterweddingen, Germany, which supports Omega’s European installations and customer base. An exchange of technology allows HB Omega to design and build machines locally in Europe.
In November 2001, the Omega Company grew once again with the addition of the CORfine Division. For over 25 years CORfine has been serving customers in the corrugated finishing industry. Starting out as a supplier of cutting and creasing attachments, the product line has grown to include flat bed and rotary die cutting equipment. CORfine now pride's itself as being the world's largest supplier of Web Fed Soft Anvil Rotary Die Cutting Machines.
